Wylie, Texas is an amazing suburb of Dallas that is totally blowing up right now! The housing prices here are AMAZING, and there’s so much to do – it’s really no wonder why so many are choosing to buy homes in Wylie.
Downtown Wylie is full of food and things to do! There are bars, restaurants, boutiques, and small businesses, so it’s a great spot to grab some coffee or a bite to eat or hit up in the evening for some great drinks. There’s even a winery here on Main Street! Pretty cool little spot.
Wiley only has about 50,000 people total, and about 80% of the residents own their own homes here. It’s also only 20-25 minutes from Downtown Dallas and 30 minutes from the airport, so it’s a great location. It’s located right off the lake, so if you love the lake life, Wylie could really be a perfect spot for you!
Wylie also offers a good mix of the old and the new, from brand new builds to historic homes over 100 years old. We’ll visit some of those homes today and give you an idea of what types of properties you’ll find in this unique spot.
House #1 –
This first home is just a few blocks from the lake, and the neighborhood is super quiet. It’s a 3000-square-foot home with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and it’s listed at only $397,000, which is insane! That brings the price per square foot to just $132, which is practically unheard of in the Dallas area. This neighborhood is really quiet, and the neighborhood has a nice look to it. This home was just built in 2017, so it’s practically a new build. You’re probably only looking at a single owner for this home, which is a huge plus.
House #2 –
This next house is a brand new build, and it’s stunning! It’s a four-bedroom, four-bath, 3000-square-foot home, and it sits at about $400,000. The nice thing about new construction homes is that you don’t have to worry about bidding wars – it’s pretty much a first-come-first-served situation, so that’s a nice thing to think about if you’re moving here. Another great perk of living in this community is that, it being just a few blocks from the lake as well, the home is most likely going to continue to appreciate in value because of the location, and because it’s a brand new home. House #3 –
This last home looks small, but don’t be deceived… This home is 2500 square feet with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, but it also comes with 10 full acres for just $975,000. That’s amazing! This home also borders Sachse, TX just on the other side of the property. You could really do a lot with this property, so if you’re looking for a lot of land, this is a great option for you.
So overall, Wylie Is awesome. There is a lot of growth happening here, and people are really loving that small-town feel that you get here, as well as the unique home types you get here in this area.
